TITLE: THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER IN OUR BODY

Water, is a very important resource. Experts say that we humans should drink approximately eight 8 -ounce glasses, which equals about 2 liters, or half a gallon a day . Many people claim that if we don’t stay hydrated throughout the day, our energy levels go down and you might get a headache.

Water is a very important resource. Literally the WHOLE, and I mean WHOLE, world needs water to survive. We use water every day. For example: we use it to drink, to clean clothes, to plant crops, and many more.

Drinking water has a humongous effect on us, our brains, and our energy. Facts say that dehydration can affect our mood, can cause headaches, and affects our memory and brain performance. Another fact is, drinking water can help us stay healthier. Actually, it is said that it is best to drink cold water because then your body will use the extra energy (calories) to heat the water to body temperature.

Drinking enough water is very important when exercising. It is recommended that you drink water while you exercise, and also when you finish to stay hydrated. This is because it replaces fluids lost by sweating. So, all in all, water is a very important resource to the human body.

Here are some ideas to help you drink more water daily:

  • Have a glass of water with every meal.

  • Have a bottle or glass of water with you everywhere you go: your desk, your room, while you exercise or play.

  • If you’re not a big fan of drinking water try adding a slice of lime or lemon to improve the taste.

  • If you’re drinking juice or sugary drinks, add water to it to lower the amount of sugar in your drinks.
